Chargebacks

The Company reserves the right to charge a fee “chargeback fee” if a chargeback is placed with your credit card company (either intentionally or unintentionally) for any deposit made to your account. The chargeback fee will be comprised of the “administration fee” of $40.00 to cover all further investigation expenses. In case of pre-arbitration, additional fees may apply from the card processor. This fee will be used to cover all investigative expenses to prove that the deposit was made by you upon receiving the chargeback from our merchant provider. The fee will be deducted from the Client’s account balance if available.

Refunds

There are no refunds of any kind on deposits, advance payments, or collected fees for the following:

  • Dermal Lends purchases
  • Wig / Follea purchases
  • HRI Hair Therapy products
  • Laser treatments
  • Hair Transplant Surgery
  • Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) treatments
  • Scalp Micro Pigmentation (SMP)
  • Hair cuts, colors, and services

Cancellations and Rescheduling

Cancelations are sometimes unavoidable. Please understand that such changes affect not only your doctor and stylists, but other patients as well. We appreciate your courtesy.

Due to the necessary time and inconvenience, a $200 fee will be added to the total surgery or procedure cost every time the surgery or procedure is rescheduled or canceled by the patient regardless of timing.

Hair Transplant Policy

Cancellations and Rescheduling

Procedures rescheduled within 14 days will forfeit the room hold and require an additional room hold on the rescheduled date.

Room Deposit or Room Hold for hair transplants are non-refundable and may not be exchanged for credit.

For appointments canceled more than 14 days in advance, the balance above the room hold will be refunded.

For appointments canceled fewer than 14 days in advance, the balance will be non-refundable but will be eligible to be applied towards a transplant on another date.

Clinical Guarantees

For Medical Hair Transplants, HRI backs its work with a “clinical guarantee.” The clinical guarantee is that if the patient follows the pre- and post-operative care for their procedure and no growth is detected, HRI will replace the absent grafts without charging for additional grafts. HRI very rarely encounters patients who experience no or minimal growth, but nonetheless stands by its work with this pledge. The terms of this guarantee require that patients:

  • Wait at least 15 months for their full result to be accurately assessed, but not longer than 24 months before raising a claim
  • Attest that they fully followed the pre- and post-operative instructions issued by HRI, including attending their 12-month check-up.
  • Have been using either (1) finasteride, (2) Compound FM, or (3) HRI’s 90-Day Hair Loss Prevention Kit since the transplant.
  • Not received treatments from another hair restoration clinic.
  • Be medically cleared for a subsequent procedure by the HRI Medical Director.
  • Pay the medication fee for their touch-up appointment. Replacement grafts are complimentary. Additional grafts may be purchased as well.

Every patient responds differently to treatment and so no specific result can be guaranteed. Due to the nature of hair loss, HRI is not able to offer a satisfaction guarantee on any product or service.

Graft Equivalency

By convention, the size of medical hair transplant procedure is quoted in terms of “grafts.” The same amount of hair may be transplanted in more, smaller grafts or in fewer, larger grafts. Smaller grafts are more natural looking and heal quicker, which is important to filling in hair lines. Larger grafts contain more hair follicles and often have lower transection rates, which is more important for mid-scalp and crown areas. Larger grafts may be further dissected into smaller follicular to increase the number of grafts, but this often damages the hair follicles in the process, posing a risk to achieve the same cosmetic result.

To standardize procedure sizes and ensure that each individual follicular unit is handled in a way that helps our patients achieve the best cosmetic result, HRI defines a “standard graft” as 0.80mm in diameter. To calculate the equivalent graft count for punches larger than 0.80mm in diameter, the graft equivalence is increase by the proportion of the larger graft area to the standard graft. For example, a 0.90mm punch has a diameter that is 12.5% larger and an area that is 27% larger than a 0.8mm diameter punch, so it counts for 1.27 Standard Grafts.
